WHAT IS THE NSCAN?
The Nscan is an automated digitizing system. The NScan allows users to digitize 3-5 times faster and far more accurately than with a digitizing table.
IS THE NSCAN A CAD SYSTEM?
No. The NScan is a high-speed digitizing system and meant to be used instead of a digitizing table. Though the NSCan offers some basic editing of lines, notches, etc., it is designed to work with your exisiting CAD system, not repalce it.
IS THE NSCAN COMPATIBLE WITH MY CAD SYSTEM?
Most liekly, yes. The NScan is compatible with most major CAD systems including: Gerber AccuMark™ and MicroMark™, Optitex™ and Polygon™. The NScan also fully supports DXF/AAMA/ASTM standards.
JUST HOW FAST IS THE NSCAN?
Experienced NScan users can digitize up to 2-3 pieces/minute. If the pieces are to be graded on the NScan, it takes about twice as long.
HOW WIDE IS THE NSCAN SCANNER?
The standard NScan scanner is 39" wide (approx. 1m). Wider format scanners (up to 54") are available.
